I was one of 200 teachers from across the country chosen to attend the Research Teachers Conference in Washington, D.C. in October. In the two day conference, I will have an opportunity to learn best practices for bringing solid research practices into my science classes, with a focus on Alternative Energy.
While there I will also be spending a day on Capitol Hill meeting with education and agricultural advisers to Sen. Ron Wyden and Sen. Jeff Merkley. I look forward to the opportunity to give the Dufur prospective on education to the D.C. staff for our elected officials. |
