Robotics is a project based course focusing on the VEX Robotics Competition. In this course students will develop and expand skills and knowledge to design and develop a robot for competition. Students apply the engineering design cycle to principles of motion, motor controls, programmable logic controllers and object oriented and C-based programming. Students also will engage in all aspects of project management including engineering the actual robot, leadership, inventory management, fundraising, outreach, scouting, and professional multimedia communication. Students will compete against other teams throughout the school year in VEX events. Competing in VEX is a requirement of this course.

Season Schedule
These will be our events for the 2017-2018 season. Participation in the regular season events are required for this class. Weather may be a factor, and we will address any issues as they arise. Busing information will be provided closer to the events.
We need to win a place in State at one of these three tournaments to compete in the Platinum Division (chance at Worlds), otherwise we will still compete in the Gold Division. State is after the end of the semester and will be voluntary, but I hope everyone that has worked on the bot attends.
